Lindley Student wins $5000 for School

LindleyStudentJameia Mitchell former Lindley 8th Grade Student and daughter of Riverside Intermediate Second Grade Teacher Marylyn Jenkins Washington and James Mitchell won $5,000 dollars from Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for her anti bullying project. Jameia won the prize for doing a project with Lindley Middle School and writing an essay. There were over 150 entries and Jameia was the top prize earner. Jameia was nominated by her mother Mrs.Washington who also served as the PTA president for Lindley Middle School. The award money was donated to school. Ms. Jameia Mitchell also won a vacation to Pigeon Forge worth over $1600.00.
Jameia plans to attend Pebblebrook High School Performing Arts program.

Lindley Middle School is located in the Pebblebrook Feeder pattern and Mrs. Lisa Moore Williams is the principal.
