Austell Community Taskforce appreciates your willingness to support the 2nd Annual ACT Holiday Festival. The purpose of this event is to inform citizens of the resources and programs available and to bring hope and holiday cheer to youth in the community. This time of year can be stressful for our families making preparation for their families holiday celebrations. To some, the challenges of the holiday season may not be a joyous time of year. With the aid of the local citzens, business, and Toys for Tots program, it is the aim of the Austell Community Taskforce to delivery a ray of hope for all to enjoy, including Scroog.
MISSION: The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
GOAL: The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
OBJECTIVES: The objectives of Toys for Tots are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future.
Last year, the Austell Community Taskforce aided in the mission, goal and objective of the Toys for Tots program by destibuting toys to over 600 families in our local Austell/Mableton Community. This year with our community partners help we Aim to double our efforts. This is no small feat, but the cause is a good one, promoting warmth and love during the holiday season is cause we all can rally around.
Please be so kind to donate your time, reasources and spirit to a worth while cause in the South Cobb community, and together make this year the best ACT Holiday Festival South Cobb has ever experienced.
Our team of volunteers appreciates any consideration to the cause and welcomes a call for more information.
